Nynashamn Shore Excursion - This tour visits the Vasa Museum, which is Scandinavia's most visited museum. You also enjoy a city driving tour, a visit to Stockholm's City Hall and free time in the charming Old Town to explore and have lunch.

After meeting your driver guide you start the drive into Stockholm. Your first stop is a tour of the beautiful City Hall. The building was built in 1923 and today its high spire topped with three golden crowns has become the symbol of Stockholm. The Blue Hall is the location where the world famous Nobel Prize banquet takes place each year, followed by a ball in the Golden Hall. You will be amazed by the mosaics and murals which line the interior.

Next you drive to Fjallgatan for a panoramic photo stop. This area sits on a cliff where you enjoy well preserved wooden buildings dating from the 1700s and fantastic views of Stockholm.

Following this beautiful drive you visit the Old Town, known as Gamla Stan. The city of Stockholm is made up of 14 islands and peninsulas which are connected by bridges. The Old Town encompasses three of these islands. You can see the Royal Palace and Cathedral (Stockholm's Oldest Building) while you are on foot, plus enjoy the narrow cobbled streets that are lined with antique shops and boutiques.

You also have free time in the old town for lunch (meal not included).

Later you drive to the island of Djurg̴rden, or "Royal Game Park". The island is part of the National Park system and is the favorite recreation area for both locals and tourists.

Located on the island is the Vasa Museum, Scandinavia most visited museum. The impressive warship Vasa sank on her maiden voyage in 1628 but it was salvaged 333 years later in 1961. She has since been restored and can now be seen with her complete rigging at the Vasa Museum. This ship is the only remaining, intact 17th century ship in the world and is certain to impress both young and old.

Finally you drive back to the pier in Nynashamn.
