About the Port of Katakolon - The small fishing village of Katakolon is located on the west coast of Greece's Peloponnese. The port is the gateway to the mystical site of Ancient Olympia, some twenty-five miles to the east. Please make note that there are very few licensed guides in Katakolon so please confirm your tour early. Katakolon and Olympia enjoy a Mediterranean climate which includes warm to hot, dry summers and mild to cool, wet winters.
