This full day
Cadiz shore tour visits Seville, to explore the Alcazar, the oldest royal palace in Europe, and a must see in the Andalusia region. You also enjoy a short panoramic tour of the city and a visit to the Cathedral, which is one of the largest Gothic churches in the world.
After meeting your guide at the pier in Cadiz you start the drive to Seville. Your first stop is the Alcazar which was built for the Moorish kings of Muslim Spain. Still the official residence for the Spanish royal family today, a visit to the Alcazar is like a lesson in architecture including Islamic motifs, Baroque and Renaissance styles and more. The site was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987 and is one of the most visited sites in Europe. Your guide will lead you through several palaces, royal chambers, courtyards, chapels and gardens.
After this exciting visit to the Alcazar you will have some free time for lunch before embarking on a short panoramic tour of the city and a visit to the Cathedral.
Inside the Cathedral you will be in awe of the 16th-century stained glass windows that illuminate the fives naves as you learn about the important historical figures who are buried within the building.
Later this afternoon you return to the Cadiz cruise pier.
