Upon arrival at the Churchill War Room, you go deep beneath the bustle of London to the original Cabinet War Rooms. These chambers sheltered the people at the heart of Britain's wartime government during the Blitz raid during WWII. Your guide will bring alive the stories of the people who walked the maze of corridors as London was being bombed above them. You will wee where Churchill and his War Cabinet met, sometimes late into the night, and look through the lens of history into the Map Room, where the books and charts have remained exactly where they were left in 1945. This tour is a fascinating look back at how the second world war was waged.
After visiting the Cabinet War Rooms you come back street side and enjoy a walk to see such famous monuments as Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the House of Parliament and Big Ben.
