This
Malaga shore trip visits the beautiful city of Granada where you explore the famous Alhambra complex which is Spain's second most visited site. After visiting the Alhambra you enjoy a visit to the old town of Granada and if you wish a visit the Royal Chapel and the Cathedral of Granada.
After meeting your guide in Malaga, you depart for Granada. Upon arrival your tour starts at Spain's second most visited site, the Alhambra. Sitting on a high ridge overlooking the city of Granada you will marvel at this sprawling Moorish complex consisting of a fortress, multiple palaces, gardens, reflecting pools, courtyards and forests.
For many a highlight is the Alcazaba which sits at the point of the ridge and affords magnificent views over all of Granada. The castle with its tower was the main stronghold of the complex. Your visit includes the Generalife (the sultans' summer palace) and the gardens.
Following your time at the Alhambra you enjoy a stop in the old town where you have a free time for lunch (meal not included). Following lunch you can explore the old time on your own or if you wish you can visit the Royal Chapel and the Cathedral of Granada, the latter of which is known as Spain's most beautiful Renaissance cathedral with its gold and white interior. The Gothic Royal Chapel contains the tombs of Queen Isabel and King Fernando.
Another alternative is a visit to the old Arab silk market.
Later this afternoon you return to Malaga.
