This half day private
Rijeka shore trip visits the resort town of Opatija for a stroll on its famous seaside promenade and then a visit to the port town of Rijeka including a visit to the Trsat Castle.
After meeting your guide you drive to the resort town of Opatija where you enjoy a walking along the seaside promenade known locally as the Lungomare. You enjoy a walk through the city center to see sites such as the Saint Jacob Church and the Maiden with Seagull statue. Your guide will tell you some of the mysteries of this statue which is well known as the symbol of Opatija and the Kvarner Region.
After visiting Opatija, you return to Rijeka and have a chance to stroll along the famous Korzo promenade. This is the place to see and be seen in Rijeka. Locals gather in cafes, restaurants and shops and enjoy all sorts of live entertainment. Your guide will walk with you and show you some of the city highlights such as the City Market and City Clock.
The highlight of the tour is a visit to the Trsat Castle which sits on a hill about 425 feet above the town, overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The castle is not that large by European standards but it is one of the oldest on the Croatian Coast, and offers stunning views of the area.
You return back to the pier in Rijeka at the end of the tour.
