This
Sibenik shore trip visits the Krka National Park, the most popular excursion from Sibenik. Krka is one of seven National Parks in Croatia and is famous for its amazing waterfalls. During your free time, there is a chance to swim near the waterfalls if you wish.
The Krka National Park is about 85 square miles in size and it encircles the Krka river and its deep canyons. The Krka River is the most amazing of all rivers in the Dalmatia region because it is surrounded by untouched nature and includes crystal clear water, dramatic waterfalls and small lakes with islands.
Your first stop is an small village where you will see old water mills, rollers and a weaver's workshop. Next you will enjoy a walk through the park to see many of the smaller waterfalls which lead into the largest of them. Your walk ends at the Skradinski Buk waterfall which is almost 120 feet long and is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Europe. You have some free time to swim at the waterfall or if you prefer there are some delightful outdoor beer gardens and cafes to sit and enjoy the view.
Next you board small boats and travel up the Krka River until you reach the resort town of Skradin which is located near the entrance of the National Park. It is a popular resort town for people who wish to spend multiple days visiting this beautiful park. While you are here you enjoy a walk through one of the oldest Croatian settlements, dating back to the 2nd century BC.
After your visit to Skradin, you drive back to Sibenik.
