After meeting your driver guide, you start your tour in the Old Town, known as Gamla Stan. The city of Stockholm is made up of 14 islands and peninsulas which are connected by bridges. The Old Town encompasses three of these islands.
While on foot you will see the Royal Palace and Cathedral (Stockholm's Oldest Building) plus have short amount of time to enjoy the narrow cobbled streets that are lined with antique shops and boutiques.
Next you drive to the island of Djurgarden, or "Royal Game Park". The island is part of the National Park system and is the favorite recreation area for both locals and tourists. The island is home to historical buildings, museums, an amusement park, yacht harbors, plus beautiful forests and meadows.
Then you will drive through several of Stockholm's most popular neighborhoods such as Kungsholmen, Langholmen and bohemian Sodermalm.
A highlight for many people is the photo stop at Fjallgatan. This area sits on a cliff where you enjoy well preserved wooden buildings dating from the 1700s and also fantastic views of Stockholm. Get your cameras ready.
