This Santa Cruz de Tenerife driving tour (with photo stops) of northern Tenerife allows you to see the island's lush tropical landscapes. An added bonus is a stop for a wine and cheese tasting.
After meeting your guide you start your drive along the coast and your first stop is at the Teresitas Beach. The northern part of the island includes rugged terrain with small rocky coves and black sand beaches tucked into the coastline. While not great for swimming, the beaches make beautiful scenery.
You continue driving past the fishermen town of San Andr̩s before reaching the Bailadero view point. This is one of the higher points of the northern portion of the island and you enjoy views of incredibly wild landscapes.
Next you driving down into the valley until you reach the town of Taganana which is well know for its vineyards and goat milk. While you are here, you will enjoy a wine and cheese tasting.
Next you continue your journey towards the town known as La Laguna. However, before reaching here you have two additional photo stops at the Pico del Ingles and Cruz del Carmen viewpoints.
Finally you enjoy some free time in the charming colonial town of La Laguna. The town is nestled in the hills at an elevation of nearly 5,400 feet. It was founded in 1496 and was once the capital of the island.
After enjoying this beautiful route, you return to Tenerife.
