After meeting your guide you start your journey towards the charming colonial town of La Laguna. During the drive you enjoy two photo stops for amazing views of this lush island. La Laguna is nestled in the hills at an elevation of nearly 5,400 feet. It was founded in 1496 and was once the capital of the island. You enjoy some free time here before visiting a local winery.
At the Alvaro Winery you have the chance to sample wine and tapas. The local wines (red, white, pink and even Moscatel) are joined with some locally made cheese and the famous Papas arrugadas con Mojo. This savory potato appetizer is locally served with either a red pepper or cilantro sauce.
After enjoy these local products and the beauty of La Laguna, you return to Tenerife.
