This private
Vienna tour offers you Vienna's Jewish heritage and also visit the main historical sights and museums of the city. Highlights include the Judenplatz and Jewish Museums, the Seegasse cemetery and more.
Your guide can meet you at your hotel or the Danube River cruise docks and then you start with a driving tour to see Vienna's main boulevards and buildings. However the focus of the tour is the most important Jewish attractions and museums relating to Jewish history.
Jewish life was originally concentrated in the very heart of the old city, a short walk from the famed St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Your tour includes a visit to the Judenplatz Museum for a glimpse into the medieval Jewish life in Austria’s capital. You have the chance to stroll through the Seegasse cemetery, the oldest preserved cemetery in the city.
Later you stop at the Jewish Museum to learn more about Jewish life, history and religion in the country. Next you visit Leopoldstadt yo see the ruins of the Leopoldstädter Tempel, once the largest synagogue in Vienna. Then you continue to Morzinplatz and get a chance to see the memorial for the victims of the NS regime.
Before ending the tour you also get an opportunity to visit the textile quarter of Seitenstettengasse and the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
Your tour concludes when you are dropped off back at your hotel or the river cruise docks.
